What birth control pills are good for getting rid of acne?

I have been taking yasmin for 6 months and its great, I never have any bad side affects but Im 19 and cannot get rid of my acne. Ive heard ppl say that theres cleared up when they went on the pill.What birth control pills are good for getting rid of acne?

I used Gynofen 35, it cleared all of the spots on my back and arms, it helped acne on my face to cease down for a little while but the spots re-appeared after stopping for a few months.





(I have the syndrome of polycystic ovaries and my acne is related to that but currently I'm on ro-accutane)
Birth control isn't designed to clear up your skin--that's just a lucky side effect some people get. Go to a dermatologist, they can work wonders :-) I had bad acne and the only thing that worked for me was Accutane. That was several years ago and my skin's a lot better. However, I do still have a little acne and my birth control DOES help with keeping that under control. So if you have very severe/deep acne, you'll have to take more extreme measures, but birth control can help maintain your good skin once you get it!
I don't really have skin problems except during pms, and when I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Low I never had any which was really nice!
I used ortho-cyclen and it worked great.

birth control may help clear up your acne but its not made for acne, and doesnt always work, it also makes you gain weight. and once you stop taking it the acne comes back and its a pain in the ***....if you want it gone forever i suggest acutane, you can ask any doctor and they will say it is the best med. for treating acne and the best part is that after 5 months you stop taking it and the acne is gone...there are a few side effects and its hard to get if your a girl but coming from someone who has tried every med. and every cream prescribed and over the counter acutane is deff. the best there is! good luck
Get Diane-35, I love it. It has similar charcteristics as a birth control pill but it's meant to treat acne. My acne used to be bad and Diane pretty much cleared it all up.
