How do you control vibrato while singing?

I've been singing since I was in six grade. At the moment I'm having horrible trouble with my sinuses which screws up my pitch control (I could use help with that too) but since I did The Secret Garden at my high school a few months ago I've realized I have a natural bravado that I can't control. How do you control vibrato while singing?
Any singing that is practised properly, comes firstly from breathing through the Diaphram. This means that you breath with your stomach going in and out, and using lungs as the extra reservoir for long notes. Your Vibrato is controlled from the Diaphramatic breathing. This either increases volume, or decreases it. You need proper voice training to achieve it.Yes Sinuses can be a problem. Have you got medication? You can also get your sinuses scraped to release problem. But it might go away or lessen if you learn to breath properly. Good Luck! How do you control vibrato while singing?
sounds like the previous fellow was right- you are not supporting from below, and so you are pushing your voice out of your throat. this extra strength leads to an unnatural, forced vibrato. You're going to have to take it on faith ( until you get singing lessons and learn how to do it for real) that vibrato is a natural function of the voice, and comes as the voice matures.

Since your voice hasn't quite settled into its adult form ( even if you think you've stopped growing lengthwise, your body still has some settling down to do) it's possible you're trying too hard to sound adult. give yourself a chance!

Check with the chorus director or the musical director in charge of the show to get recommendations for singing teachers. Or ask other singers whose voices you like if they can recommend a teacher.

Sinuses are indeed a problem for singers.Check first with your doctor on this- OTC sinus medications can actually aggravate the problem if you grab the wrong sort. Explain to the doctor your connection with singing, how you need not only your air passages free, but also something that doesn't dry you out so thoroughly that your body goes into mucous overdrive production.

for a quick reminder how your throat should feel while singing: give a big sigh the TGIF kind. Notice that while all that air is streaming out with a lot of energy, there is no sensation of strength in your throat. That's how you want to keep it , open ,relaxed, easy. if you concentrate on keeping the air stream going from below ( as in around your middle, including your back) your throat will be very happy to cooperate and stay open.

Best wishes and keep on singing
