How do you control your dirt bike while in air?

I already know how to control it in terms of front wheel being too high or low (break tapping and panic revving), but I need to know how to correct if I come off the lip sideways or at an angle... I have read some stuff talking about that but all the answers are different. Some say stomp on the footpeg, some say other things. Can somebody help? How do you control your dirt bike while in air?
You use your body position on the bike, knees, upper body and weight to position the bike in the air and as you have already learnt brake tapping and Panic revving when the front is too high or too low. An advanced technique for scrubbing jumps is done by weighting one foot peg and pulling up on the opposite side end of the handlebars. When you get to the top of the up ramp you allow the bike to come up to you and then bend your knees and elbows to take up the force of the bike.

As you leave the top of the ramp you turn a bit and lay it over weighting one footpeg and pulling up the opposite side of the bars. But you may not be ready for scrubbing so just use your body to position the bike. How do you control your dirt bike while in air?
use your feet, legs, knees, hips, back and arms and just try and pull the bike the way u want to straighten out.

when the bike decides it wants to go one way its hard to stop it so make sure ur in control at all times. if your coming to the lip and your not lined up correctly its better to break check and roll it then launch and break a few bones.

a good thing for you to do to prepare yourself better with correcting the bikes movement you should practice whipping the bike (lightly at first) lean it in the air, push and pull and get used to the bikes reaction start slow and work up to the bigger jumps and the flatter more angled whips.

In my opinion, I鈥檓 sure opinions differ but most of the movement of the bike comes from my knees, hips and arms.
welll... you use basically your whole body... once it is in the air it is really hard to control it....... panic revving honestly doesn't help.... it may make you think it helps which isn't necesarily a bad thing it makes you more comfortable but the main thing is setting up for the jump.. try on smaller jumps all the different set ups and get that all down then go every angle you can think up of and start trying to correct it.. you will take a couple spills start out slow.. that is why you don't just gun it for big jumps.. you won't get hurt as easy.. once you get that all down.. then you can work it out.... 2 hours a day everyday on the bike without stopping it will probably take you 1.5-2 weeks to get it all down... good luck... stay safe..... i learned how to do all that stuff in a foam pit.... btw ha.. but lots of people dont do that
it just comes natural, but if you come off side ways panic revving also helps bring it back a little and once you land you can role out of it.
i just lean the other way.
