Apparently my thyroid is in check, but since the onset of diabetes type 1 generally my temperature is all over the shop and would rather be pro-active than not.
ThanksWhat organs control the human body temperature besides the thyroid?
Thyroid is not the one who is responsible for the human body temperature. It is definitely the hypothalamus that regulates it. It regulates the body temperature as a mechanism to the different kinds of reaction that occurs in the body. For example, there is the presence of a microorganism, when the body have already recognized the microorganism, it will have some reaction, one of which is to level up the temperature or also known as the fever. What organs control the human body temperature besides the thyroid?
The skin is the major organ that controls body temperature. When the body becomes too hot, more blood is directed to the skin so some heat can be lost which will cool down the body. When you become too cold, blood is directed away from the skin to the organs. You also start to shiver to generate heat.
Brain, respiratory system, skin etc. but every cell in the body contributes to temparature regulation.
