What birth control pill do you recomend for after I give birth to my son?

I am due August 20, and previously I was using Tricyclen which clearly didn't work. Anyways I just wanted to know which ones are good, 2 of my friends are on Yasmin and they like it a lot, what are your recomendations!?What birth control pill do you recomend for after I give birth to my son?
I ws put on the mini pill after having my son...but couldn't start taking it till 6 weeks after...so that your milk flow is established. THe mini pill is a progesterone only pill. I wouldn't use the depo shot as I was on it for 2 cycles, and it stopped me from ovulating...its not a good form of birth control. What birth control pill do you recomend for after I give birth to my son?
I highly recommend IUD's, they are not painful once there put in. I had mines for about 4 yrs. it was the best birth control method I have ever used. The only complaint i had is when having intercourse depending on the position my fiancee would end up bumping it. Other than that is was great, I will definetly get one again after having another baby. You might also want to discuss the ';Depo shot'; with your Dr. as an option as well.

If your going to be breast feeding and you prefer to get bakck on the pill you might want to consult your to see what is safe to take. My doctor prescribed me one, the minipill and it also worked wonderfully. With the low hormone doses it will not effect your milk supply or effect your baby.

However I still prefer the IUD because its so much easier to deal with and you can have it in for a max of 5 yrs and then replace it if you want to or remove it whenever you want to have kids again.
well i was on depo and that didnt work... i liked the pill called levora because i have a sensitive tummy and that didnt bother me i should never have switched from that one it worked for a few years but i wanted something i wouldnt forget to take once and awhile... best wishes.
Everyone is different. I would use barrier methods and spermicide if you plan to breastfeed - which I hope you at least TRY! I used diaphram and spermacide and it was great. With breastfeeding - no period for many months!! Bonus!
ANYTHING PROGESTIN-ONLY PILLS. Birth control pills that use only progestin are often called ';mini-pills.'; They can be very effective as long as you take the pills at the same time each day or night. These pills are considered safe to take while nursing.
I would not recomend a b/c pill. They are too unreliable and dependent upon the user.

I personally prefer the depo shot. I feel safer.
